The UK is a strong market for technology, with some of Europe’s most voracious consumers spending an estimated £110 billion on ICT products and services annually. UK consumers are experimental, and have been early adopters of services such as mobile broadband and digital television.
The Tech City UK initiative was launched by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, to build on the existing cluster of creative, digital and technology companies in East London to create a world leading technology centre. Tech City is increasingly the place to be for the world’s next generation of high tech entrepreneurs, including those working in enterprise software, cyber security, financial services, gaming, mobile and web apps, digital advertising and marketing, data analysis, digital design, social media, film and TV production, sound & music production.
The UK Trade & Investment team in Budapest, in collaboration with the Tech City Investment Organisation, ICT specialist Dr Chris Moore and the participation of Oury Clark, will hold a workshop to learn about the UK ICT Industry, the steps to open an office in the UK and about Tech City, the UK Government’s initiative to create a European technology hub in the East London.
