IVSZ AI Competence Center

Artificial intelligence (AI) solutions are now essential conditions for increasing efficiency, maintaining competitiveness, and thus economic growth. That is why the government and many professional organizations are doing everything to promote the use of AI tools and make their application available in a wide spectrum of the economy. However, the key to the greatest exploitation of AI’s potential lies in the hands of the ICT sector, who are not only users, but also developers and users of AI technology. With their professional support and the promotion of innovative AI developments, the acceleration of the digitization of the economy can be achieved as a secondary effect. That is why the project of the IVSZ, which is starting now, is particularly important.
In July 2025, the IVSZ – Association of Digital Enterprises won HUF 997.94 million in non-refundable European Union funding for the implementation of the project entitled “Creation and operation of the IVSZ AI Competence Center”. The project will target software development small and medium enterprises, which are one of the main driving forces of domestic digitization, with its services. The professional implementation started on October 1, 2025 in the framework of the Széchenyi Terv Plusz program and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2028.
The extensive use and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions included in the professional program starting in March of next year into everyday IT developments can result in a significant competitive advantage not only in the ICT sector, but also in the sectors they serve. The aim of the IVSZ AI Competence Center (IVSZ AIKK) is to make the necessary conditions for AI-based innovations available to domestic software development companies, to encourage and support technological developments, and to use proven methodologies to help introduce AI solutions in various areas of business life. The competence center offers practical solutions to the specific current challenges of these businesses and help in the relevant areas.
Services offered by AIKK include AI development support, education and training programs for businesses, and technology sandbox service for testing and development of individual AI-based applications. In addition, knowledge-sharing elements aggregating the latest professional developments and information will support the companies’ innovation efforts, thereby helping to build AI-based business models for their customers.
The project is implemented within the framework of the call for tenders entitled “DIMOP_PLUSZ-1.2.2-24 With the involvement of industrial non-profit actors, the creation of model solutions applicable to sector-type problems”.
As a gap-filling initiative, the IVSZ AI Competence Center intends to become an integral part of the already existing domestic artificial intelligence ecosystem, so that it can play a more effective role in realizing the goals of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
