As there are 400,000 cash registers currently operating in Hungary, the new regulation imposes additional burdens on at least 100,000 Hungarian businesses

MENTA is the biggest annual forum of IVSZ (ICT Association of Hungary ) on which the actual topics are discussed by eminent representatives of the governmental bodies and the decision makers of ICT sector in the presence of approx.. 250 C level participants. It is traditionally a two-day event with two main focuses: one is to provide an excellent networking opportunity and the other is to discuss topics of the actual spectrum of hottest ICT issues that are most important for the coming year. Participants are mostly CEOs of IVSZ member companies and some outside guests. MENTA conference is the traditional prestigious annual meeting place of the Hungarian ICT sector with outstanding networking opportunity- the right place to conduct business.

The speech of Tamás Laufer, president of the ICT Association of Hungary (IVSZ) at the China High Tech Fair event:

I am honoured to welcome you on behalf of the ICT Association of Hungary at today's event of the Parliament of the Information Society.

We live in an information society. A look around at all the IT equipment and solutions that are now indispensable to our everyday life and work is proof of that. However, people skilled in the application and use of information and communications solutions are needed to make the most of such potential.

The e-Skills Week closing event will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 30 March 2012. The event will highlight and reward best e-Skills practice observed throughout the campaign and present recommendations to ensure the sustainability of the event. Special attention will be paid to the impact of skills on productivity and growth and on innovation ability.
